Short: It’s All About Me

Free yourself from the imagined limitations that you impose on yourself based on what you believe others perceive of you.

Free yourself from your own unfounded limitations based on conventions and inherited biases of others.

Almost no one cares about your story, what they really care about is how that/your story fits with theirs. This can be thought of as the “It’s all about me”; how do you influence and engage with them?

My mother repeatedly told me “never decide for people what they think or want; ask them what they think or want; do something with that”, now that is some super wisdom right there.

Show up and give them something that contributes, shapes or influences their story. Build trust, show them you're a winner and that you are there for them. Immerse them with your confidence.

"Confidence… thrives on honesty, on honor, on the sacredness of obligations, on faithful protection and on unselfish performance. Without them it cannot live" Franklin D. Roosevelt

As with showing up, it’s always a good idea to do some practice; Find the right crowd for the right feedback; shaped through fire comes to mind. It’s moving from idea to implementation; Actions trump ideas any day of the week. A crowd can be a crowd of one or many; Show up and experiment, performing your vulnerable true individual self.

Sharing without expecting anything in return; authenticity and relatedness tend to receive positive feedback; share and note the feedback (verbal and non-verbal cues) from your crowd.

Know the principles and share them in an interesting and captivating manner - I like visual language in describing and explaining events that fire up the imagination and emotions.

As usual, they don’t care about you; unless they love you, you want them to love you.

Be your unlimited self and share your story by being attentive to their story.

When you realise the “unlimitedness” through meaningful practice, mindfulness and being awesome, some truly great things tend to happen.

Further thinking and reading…
