That interesting company, together with MVW consulting engineers were appointed by the client, Automa Multistyrene, to analyse and reinforce their mezzanine storage structure. An economical and fit for revised loading purpose was required.

A detailed site inspection was performed to measure and note all dimensions and member sizing of the existing structure. Engineering analysis was performed to retrofit the structure to its new load baring state by determining the load that the structure is capable of withstanding including the newly specified loading. This led to a final solution consisting of additional structural members, which strengthened the structure to carry the additional load economically and safely.
